Antwan Henderson (born April 7th 1989), better known by his stage name MISPHIT, is an American rapper, singer/songwriter from Atlantic City, New Jersey. This Nerd Rapper burst onto the local scene in 1999 with his creative storytelling genre. Antwan endured an itinerant childhood, living with his mother in Atlantic City. Antwan wrote his first song at the age of 7 and took up rapping at 13. His writing techniques developed in school as he continued his education in school by taking songwriting classes to brush up his creative writing style. His goal was to achieve more dynamics and imagery in his lyrics.
 
He joined Ad Hoc Groups, AtlanticCity Aluminum, Vdotadot (aka Verbal Assasin) and the newly named Misphit released a raw debut album in March of 2011, independently, self-titled “Glitch In Da Matrix.” News quickly spread of this up and coming artist when the AC Weekly reviewed him as “One of the most innovative, creative, dreamer, local albums of the times.” New Jersey Press followed with comments stating that “Misphit has the potential to be one of the first artists to take A.C. To the industry. He has the complete package of a nerd with a creative, dark but intelligent musical approach to music….who would have thought, very creative.” “The album shows Misphit is an artist of the new generation….enjoy.” – Jeffery Chase.
